DMMC Committees
Marketing and PR This committee is responsible for all aspects of marketing for the programs and works of the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition and manages public communications, relations with the media, and the public-at-large. It is the committee’s responsibility to creatively develop systems and campaigns to maintain, improve, broaden, and streamline these relationships. It is also this committee’s responsibility to produce materials for use in promotion of the organization. This committee overseas the development of our "Street Team" - the grass roots effort to connect music to the public. Chairs: Jill Haverkamp

Meetings: Third Wednesday of the month 6pm at the Mickle Center (1620 Pleasant St, Des Moines, IA 50314), March meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday, March 24th at 6pm
Membership This committee will work to increase and develop the participation and contribution of the DMMC's membership. Membership will seek out benefit opportunities for DMMC members, plan meetings and events with membership, and maintain the membership database. Chair: Nickelle Stevens

Events and Festivals This committee is responsible for creating, organizing, planning, and executing events and festivals for the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition, including such things as scheduling, site coordination, talent buying, event content, and volunteer staffing. The committee maintains relationships with area venues, promoters and agents, as well as other organizations in need of assistance with music programming. E and F does most of the planning for events like Gross Domestic Product, Little BIG Fest, and Music University. Chair: Tim Heaston

80/35 Planning Help build DSM's major summer music festival! This is a sub-committee of events and festivals, but is allotted it's own time to cover all of the material and allow people to just participate in either/or if they wish. Chair: Amedeo Rossi

Development This committee is responsible for development of strategic relationships between the Des Moines Music Coalition and civic organizations, local businesses, private donors, foundations and other non-profits. As programming develops, the committee will look to secure sponsorships of these events to ensure the coalition can financially support its programming. Additionally, this committee will work to increase and develop the participation and contribution of the DMMC's membership. Chair: Justin Schoen
